Many participants joined the Parish outing

44 persons of all ages defied the wet and cold weather on Saturday, May 11, 2019 and attended this year's Parish outing to Munkeby Mariakloster.[more]


Fundraising run for our church raised NOK 9315!

On Saturday May 4 the children of St. Olav parish defied the cold and rainy weather and ran 85 rounds all in all, sponsored by NOK 50,- per round from parents and other members of the parish. The run was part of the large fundraising program for the restoration of the old parish hall. [more]


Waiting for the new Bishop

From the pews in St. Olav cathedral we catch sight of something new up on the wall in the choir on the left side. Parish priest Egil Mogstad informs us that it is a copy of a head in soapstone from the choir of Nidaros Cathedral. May is the month of Our Virgin!

The month of May is dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church. It is traditional to pray the rosary both in church and at home. The Parish Council invites to an all day bus excursion to Munkeby Maria Monastery.The bus leaves from Nidaros Cathedral, Bispegata at 09:00. Price kr. 100 per adult, children under the age 12 free of charge.[more]
