The guided tour costs kr. 50. Pay directly to the guide on the island. Bring correct change!

Norway's last Catholic Archbishop before the reformation, Olav Engelbrektson of Nidaros, built Steinvikholm Castle on an island off the coast at Skatval. We commemorate his fight to preserve St. Olav's heritage with a spring trip out to Steinvikholm, where the last battle was fought before he was driven into exile.
