St. Olav katolske domsogn, Trondheim: Schedule for the building of new St. Olav Cathedral in Trondheim

Many have been asking what the schedule for the building of the new church is. According to p. Egil Mogstad and he tells us that the present plans from Eggen Architects will be presented to the Local Council's Town Planning Meeting during week 47 for discussion and approval. Normally the Town Planning Office needs three months for the completion of this process.

When the plans have been approved the tenders will go out. We hope that the building process can start in early March, says p. Egil. The architects are indicating a time line for the building period of sixteen to eighteen months. In that case the church should be ready around late summer/early autumn 2016.
