Bishop Paul Tighe, Official of the Pontifical Council for Culture, will participate in this year’s Olsok celebration. He was invited to Oslo by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture, and accepted the invitation from bishop Bernt Eidsvig to Trondheim and Stiklestad for the celebration of St. Olav after his visit in Oslo.
Bishop Paul Tighe is from Ireland, where he lived and worked until he was called to the Vatican. We are very happy and grateful that he has decided to participate during the whole Olsok celebration in Trondheim and at Stiklestad, says chancellor of the Catholic Church in Trondheim Diocese Unn Madsø.
