2015 will be an exciting year for us in St. Olav parish. From the empty and desolate plot will rise a new church with all the facilities we miss in the somewhat limited interim church. The photo shows the facade as seen from the space fronting the main entrance. On 12. December the final application for building-permit was sent from Eggen arkitekter AS to the Town Planning Office at Trondheim City Council. It is normal for the Town Planning office to use about three months to complete this process.
When the plans have been approved the tenders will go out. We hope that the building process can start in early March, says p. Egil, who has an active role in the building process on behalf of the Diocese. The architects are indicating a time line for the building period of sixteen to eighteen months. In that case the church should be ready around late summer 2016.
