Reliquary for new St. Olav Cathedral

The reliquary will be positioned on the St. Olav side altar. It is made in the same style as the tabernacle on Mary's altar, the other side altar. Again, the firm Granda of Madrid is responsible for the crafting. The reliquary is made from marble with a gilt metal roof and a glass door to enable the faithful to see the St. Olav relic. [more]

Two Polish firms have visited our church to make the necessary measurements of the interior of the church. Marian Pajor represented the firm responsible for the stone work, including the altar and the pedestals for Holy Mary, St. Olav and the tabernacle.[more]

Blessed Elisabeth Hesselblad becomes a Saint

The Swedish nun Blessed Elisabeth Hesselblad will be canonized on 5. June 2016. She was beatified in April 2000 by Pope John Paul II. The Holy Easter Triduum

In the evening of Holy Thursday (or Maundy Thursday) we see the beginning of what is called the Holy Triduum. The "three days" last until the Easter Vigil. Easter Day, the day of the Risen Christ, is the biggest feast day, and this is celebrated for eight days with the Easter Octave.
