New name, new seal

We are renewing ourselves in so many ways at present. Our new Cathedral is steadily rising, and St. Olav parish has changed its name to St. Olav Catholic Cathedral Parish, Trondheim. Some of you may even have noticed that the seal in the top left corner also has been renewed. [more]


The altar boys and girls are preparing for Easter

On Saturday 5. March from 3 - 5 pm there will be a meeting for those who want to practice the bascis of the mass procedure. The leader of the parish council, Jan Inge Fossmo, says that Easter will be a central topic at this meeting. Everyone from 10 years and up are welcome. Pizza and soft drinks will be served.


Good news from Munkeby Mariakloster!

A new construction project is underway with three guest rooms, a small kitchen, a library, and a sizable community room. Consequently, it's now possible for the brothers at Munkeby Mariakloster in Nord-Trøndelag to welcome those wanting to stay with the community for a short period of time, or for groups traveling by.[more]


A Christmas play at the Bridgettine Monastery.

On Saturday 30. January, the Polish Group had a Chrismas Play on the Nativity of Jesus in the Bridgettine Monastery.[more]


In 2016 Ash Wednesday falls on 10. February

Ash Wednesday is traditionally the day when we remember our mortality. In the Catholic Church the liturgy includes painting an ash cross on the forehead of the parishoners. Ash Wednesday is also the beginning of Lent.[more]
