Topping out ceremony

45 skilful workers and professionals were gathered on May 19 to celebrate ”Kranselag,” (topping out ceremony) traditionally held when the last beam is placed atop a structure during its construction. Celebration and fundraising for the new St. Olav statue

May 17. was just another successful celebration in our parish. Not only did we celebrate the national day of Norway, but the brunch buffet following the Mass raised no less than NOK 16.889 for the St. Olav statue for the new church.[more]

Crowns for St. Mary and Jesus

Funds for the crowns for St. Mary and Jesus come from the sale of tickets and food at the congregation’s dance and cultural night on Saturday 23. April. This event was organized by "Filipino for Christ". The statue itself has been donated by a family in the parish. [more]

Celebration of the 1050 years jubilee for the christening of Poland

Last May 8, was a great event for the Poles. They celebrated their 1050 year of Christianity. Being under the communist regime, Poland could not celebrate their 1000 jubilee year. On this special year, finally they have the freedom and liberty to celebrate.[more]

From papal visit to Tautra Mariakloster

Towards the end of the 1980s St. Olav parish in Trondheim ordered a statue of St. Mary from the sculptor Tore Bjørn Skjølsvik. When Pope John Paul II visited Trondheim in 1989 he knelt before this statue in prayer during a private visit to St. Olav Cathedral. [more]

On the occation of Norway’s Constitution Day the Polish group of St. Olav parish welcomes everyone to a great celebration after the 11 o'clock Mass. There will be a buffet with cold and warm dishes, and desserts.[more]

The programme for the 2016 Olsok Celebrations is now available

On Friday 29. July at 2.30 pm, pontifical mass will be celebrated by Bishop Bernt Eidsvig in Nidaros Cathedral.
